Hello! My nickname is joe and I am a girl. I decided to create this blog in order to write about my journey learning cinematography. I started by wanting to be a Photography major and don’t get me wrong I love photography but I do not think it is my full vocation. So I mixed it with film. I have always had a passion for movies since young (though I have not watched any major film series like Rambo and Star Wars, I know many want to strangle me). But Videography, those moving images that seemed to always take my breath away in films and or T.V., they way they tell everything about a character by being in a certain part of the take, has always been my favorite parts. So I decided to be both a photographer and someone who works in film ( I think the stress fascinates me).
To bad that I decided this road a little late because I’m 22 years-old, but in the end I stopped caring ever since I read the story of Rose, a 87 year oldcollege student who decided to achieve her goal of having a degree. She made me realize that it is never to late and to never comform with half of the things that make me truly happy. She also taught me what it is to grow older and what it is to grow up. With this I finally got ambitions, decided where I want to go, and up to what point I’m willing to settle with. My journey might’ve started a little late, but the purpose is that I stick with it. And I freaking am. So this will become my progress journal and my personal updates on how I come to reach my goal. And anybody that wants to become a cinematographer. I hope to inspire.
